The
Working Jack Russell Terrier and The
Real Jack Russell By Eddie Chapman
Chapman is known
the world over for producing consistent working type and excellent temperament
in the Jack Russell Terrier. He has been terrierman for many hunts in England
and continues to supply terriers for work and breeding. Eddie has been instrumental
in beginning Jack Russell Terrier clubs in Britain and throughout the world.
His
first book, The Working Jack Russell Terrier,
originally published in 1985, is filled with information on what a Jack Russell
should be as well as stories of hunting and advice on breeding, working and showing
terriers. His second book, (aka the "red book"), The
Real Jack Russell, is a table-top edition. The
Real Jack Russell continues with breeding philosophies, mating,
whelping and rearing puppies. It is overflowing with photos of terriers from England
and the United States, but he still found room for more hunting stories. The
U.S. price of The Working Jack Russell Terrier
is $35; The Real Jack Russell is $40;
both for $70. For information concerning the purchase of these books in the U.S.
or to contact Chapman, e-mail Brenda Swanson at Jjournal@gte.net
